3rd Stop: Rome

“For two whole years Paul stayed there in his own rented house and welcomed all who came to see him. He proclaimed the kingdom of God and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ—with all boldness and without hindrance!” -Acts 28:30-31

Rome...

Fill your mind with wonder as you step into the capital of Catholicism: Rome!  However, we will first make a little detour at the island of Malta just like Paul did, and head towards Rome.

Sight-see at the governor’s palace and live in a rented house to experience the life of a Roman citizen. Many Christians will visit and give inspiring talks that will change your life forever!

2nd Stop: Jerusalem

“I am on my way to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there, except that the Holy Spirit testifies to me in every city that imprisonment and persecutions are waiting for me.”-Acts 20:22-23

The center of Jewish worship: Jerusalem! Although this land was once stricken with famine, Christians from other places contributed donations to a fund in order to help them. You can also show your generosity by donating to a good cause sponsored by the city council!

1st Stop: Ephesus

"For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace, and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility."

Welcome to the start of the Third Journey, and a meeting place for various travellers and traders around the world: Ephesus! Be amazed with the impressive buildings, including a spacious temple dedicated to Diana (the Roman goddess of fertility) and an outdoor theatre with a 24,000 seating capacity.

Listen to re-enactments of Paul teaching the Good News at a lecture hall and Jewish synagogue. Believe in the wonders of God when you watch healing miracles that completely cure the sick!* As well, attend performances of local magicians who will attempt to capture your attention!

4th Stop: Corinth

The last stop of the Second Journey: Corinth...

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres.”

Feel the excitement of Corinth, a prosperous town renowned for its notorious night-life industry. Prostitution, casinos, bars and pubs, street fights, and a great number of clubs to select from! Still, there is a significant Christian community, and the famous tent-making shop family owned by the influential Christian missionaries Priscilla and Aquila is definitely worth a visit!

3rd Stop: Athens

“The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands.” -Acts 17:16-34

Enlighten yourself with the unique atmosphere of Greek culture as you visit Athens, with its ancient temples and majestic statues! Though its inhabitants were disapproving of Paul’s teachings, it is still a remarkable place where debates and speeches of ideas took place.  Embrace the intellectual spirit of Athenians!

2nd Stop: Thessalonica

The breezy coastal city of Thessalonica...

“But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness.”-1 Thessalonians 5: 4-5

As you enter the city, Gentiles will welcome you, while the Jews will be hostile.* These unfriendly Jews will ‘charge’ you with treason, and you will be placed under temporary house arrest, similar to the Paul and Silas' dilemma.** Do not worry, as they will not harm you in any way…yet. Hence, you will need to leave town that night, and aboard a ship bound for Athens!

1st Stop: Philippi

“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.” -Philippians 2: 3-4

Be prepared to be warmly greeted by a small Jewish community as you embark onto the riverbank, and to receive gracious hospitality at Ms. Lydia Behan’s cozy inn. Next, witness the eye-opening event of exorcizing a demon from a slave girl!*

The Jail

You can go visit the actual jail where Paul and Silas was imprisoned for freeing a girl from an evil spirit, and try to convince the jailer to open the doors with your words of wisdom. However, if you fail, a strong wind will still blow your way, enabling you to escape to your destination. Next stop, Thessalonica!
